Shoot hoops in a whole new way, only on Nintendo Switch 2!
Are you all about monster dunks? Buzzer-beating buckets? Well, it’s showtime, folks!
The Drag x Drive™ game is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system. In this 3-on-3 sports game, you’ll shoot, drive, and do tricks with the system’s mouse controls.
Wait, mouse controls?
That’s right—this game uses an interesting control scheme. First, you’ll hold each Joy-Con™ 2 controller on a surface, just like a mouse, and use them to move your wheels and speed across the court. Slide both controllers forward to move ahead, or just one controller to turn or pivot.
Once you grab the ball and drive up the lane, shooting is as simple as raising your hand and flicking your wrist. You can also rack up even more points by performing tricks, such as using the half-pipe to launch yourself into the air for crazy dunks. The more difficult the trick, the more points you’ll earn. While it’s one thing to score points, it’s another to score points with style.
Oh, and don’t forget: this is a 3-on-3 team sport! If you don’t have a good shot, quickly pass the ball to an open teammate by pressing the L and R Buttons together. You can also gently shake your Joy-Con 2 controllers to wave your hands. This is handy for showing that you’re open, cheering on your team, or high fiving each other. Teamwork makes the dream work.
Defense wins games
Of course, you shouldn’t let your guard down when the other team has the ball. When playing defense, slam into your opponents to get the ball back or disrupt their game. You can also raise your hands to try and block shots.
Pick your player and customize their look
Choose between three different drivers, each with their own stats, to play your preferred role on the court. Guards are agile and pick up speed quickly. Centers are tougher and have more height. And Forwards are balanced all-arounders.
Completing challenges throughout the park can also unlock customizable helmets. Match them up with your choice of armor, frame, and tires to customize your driver’s appearance to your liking.
Challenge your friends or play solo
Hop online* and team up with (or take on) your friends in fast-paced 3-on-3 matches, or in minigames like Rebound Scramble and Circuit Sprint. In Rebound Scramble, be the first to gain possession of the falling ball. Meanwhile, Circuit Sprint is all about navigating obstacles while speeding toward the goal.
Head to the Public Park to get matched up with randomized players or wheel on over to Friend Park to just play against your buddies (and try chatting with GameChat** to show off your competitive spirit). You can also share out a Park ID to invite players not on your Friend List.
Finally, if you’re a solo baller, you can play against computer-controlled opponents, spectate matches, or put some practice in to hone your moves.
