Strange gateways to a distorted reflection of Lumiose City have been discovered, and your key to getting inside them is...yummy donuts?! How delicious!
You can catch the latest details about the Pokémon™ Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension paid DLC* in the video above. Mysterious distortions are forming all around town, and Team MZ will need the help of a young girl named Ansha and the Mischief Pokémon, Hoopa, to get to the bottom of things. Just what is Hyperspace Lumiose, you ask? Well, we’re sure Team MZ will figure it out!
Oh, and be careful on your adventure. Hyperspace Lumiose may resemble the real Lumiose, but it’s a very different place. You’ll run into Pokémon that are over the normal limit of Lv. 100, rare Pokémon that you haven’t encountered in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A game yet, and never-before-seen Mega-Evolved Pokémon like Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. Not to worry though—you can even the playing field with special donuts that grant different effects while in hyperspace. What a tasty way to power up!
The DLC’s story content drops on Dec. 10, 2025. Please note that you need to complete the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A before you can play the DLC story content.
New free content for Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Speaking of completing the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, we have something for folks who finished it—a free extra side mission! To access the mission, first receive a Diancite stone through the Mystery Gift feature in the game. Then, talk to Mimi in the Looker Bureau to access the “Shine Bright like a Gemstone” extra side mission.
If you complete this mission, you’ll be able to add the Mythical Pokémon Diancie to your team. You can even use the Diancite stone you got through the Mystery Gift** feature to Mega Evolve Diancie into Mega Diancie.

**The Mystery Gift function can be found within the Link Play menu option in the main menu after you unlock the Rewards feature in Mable’s Research in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A game. You will need to connect your Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch system to the internet to claim this bonus. The user profile on your system will need to be linked to a Nintendo Account in order to connect to the internet. (This does not require a Nintendo Switch Online membership.) It takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours of play time before you can access the Link Play menu. Item can only be redeemed once per save data file.
